Remembering Esther

Hi, Dave:
It is with great sadness that I tell you of the passing of a great woman, Esther, who entertained your listeners for many years with her homespun wisdom. Esther passed away this morning at the tender age of 84. Sadly, she was in failing health these last few months, but she passed away peacefully. I want to let you know how much she appreciated not only your show and humor, but your friendship over these years. She leaves behind a son, Charlie and his wife Annie, a daughter Maggie, a grandson, Robert, and three granddaughters, Siobhan, Clarissa and Ashleigh. She also leaves three dogs: Lucky, Lobo, and Otis and three cats: Callie, Luigi, and Black Magic. I am not sure if we will hold services, but I will e-mail you if we do.

Thank you for the love and kindness you showed my mom for all of these years.

Maggie Burns (Esther’s Daughter)

We will have an on-air tribute to Esther on the show Tuesday at 5:05. What a remarkable woman.
