What to Give President Bush for Christmas?

Glad to be back after our Big Adventure to Mexico last week. Good to be away. Good to be back. Thanks again to all the guest hosts for filling in and special thanks to Matt for keeping things running smoothly.

We will be off next Monday and Tuesday for Christmas and then Monday and Tuesday of the following week for New Year’s. Looking forward to our 16th anniversary broadcast on Monday, January 7th. Time flies.

I am especially grateful to have King Harris back on in the mornings. I know some of you were Laura Ingraham fans, but I’ll take King any day. I’m glad the new management team decided to reconsider our morning programming and thanks to all of you who wrote and called in.

We had an interesting segment tonight about what to give President Bush for Christmas this year. We do this segment every year and it’s interesting to see the responses. I suggested that we give him an evening with Jimmy Carter so that he can learn how to become a good former President since he botched things so badly while on the job. Perhaps in twenty years he can win the Nobel Peace Prize. Lots of calls, some serious, some fun. Suggested gifts included everything from “a brain” to a “fishing trip.”

What would you suggest? What should we give George Bush for Christmas this year?

How about a serving of legal papers indicting Bush, Cheney, Gonzales and Rumsfeld for violating the Constitution and international treaties?

On a side note; interesting how the building that houses many Presidential records erupted in flames today- any bets that this could be related to the ongoing tug of war between the executive branch and Congress regarding the confidential records request?

    Dave and friends,

We could leave under the pResident’s tree a copy of “Purple Hearts,” a slim but powerful book with pictures and comment by soldiers back from Iraq.

I’d also make sure there was a person detailed to read aloud each page to George.

Lastly, I’d make sure Bush is on the list of people invited to the funerals of every American soldier KIA, declared MIA and otherwise declared deceased.

On another note, it is great to have the King of First News on in the morning!

    Nameless, anonymous, grown-up kool-aid drinker,

    1) It’s not likely in this lifetime I’ll ever join the 32 percent who think Bush II is doing a great job. But keep thinking those good thoughts.

    2) Your focus on creative uses for the words “hateful,” “lefty” and “limp wristed,” caused you to miss my display of actual respect for the resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue:

2.5) Giving a book to Bush implies that he can read.

    3) You didn’t mean to insult a bird species protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918 as amended, did you? Really?

    4) Spelling check: “whiny” and “wussies.”

That’s right! You will stick with the rest of your radical socialist lemmings and support “your” house & senate with an approval rating at 10%.

    “re·spect” –noun
Esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person, a personal quality or ability, or something considered as a manifestation of a personal quality or ability: I have great respect for her judgment.

You dig your own grave deeper every time you open your mouth. Nobody is buying your BS. You hate Bush and it’s killing your “party”.

Will you hate Huckabee as well?
