Off Topic — But Who Cares?

Let me depart from some of the more serious ruminations that have appeared on this blog and tell you that Charlotte and I took the time tonight to finally get around to seeing “Borat.” We caught the 7:40 showing at the Arroyo Grande theaters, which meant the movie actually started at 7:55 after about six different previews as we enjoyed our small popcorn and small drink costing $9.25.

I will tell you up front that “Borat” is not for the faint of heart. It is gross, vulgar, offensive, and disgusting.

It is also probably The. Funniest. Movie. I’ve. Ever. Seen. Period.

I was laughing so hard that I was spitting up phlegm during the second half of the movie. I’ve never laughed out loud as much as I did tonight, more than at “Bad Santa,” certainly more than at “Jackass.”

The extended nude wrestling sequence between the two guys near the end of “Borat” has to be one of the classic comedy bits in the history of movies. I know that sounds strange, but trust me, this is genius at work.

Because once you pull away the gross humor, you find a startling indictment of prejudice and bigotry in this country, more powerful than any drama or documentary.

You have to see “Borat” and you have to see it with an audience.

Two thumbs up. Way, way up!

I am an avid movie go-er and thus have seen a great deal of questionable, inappropriate, and at times, offensive films. As for “Borat,” it’s the first time in my life I have actually walked out on a film. Crude doesn’t begin to cover the graphic and immoral nature of this movie. I found absolutely no redeeming moral value, despite a four hour long conversation searching for one. The film not only includes, but celebrates (and some say pokes fun at), nudity en masse; homosexual settings; horrible language; “potty” humor including fecal scenes; racial slurs and other forms of racism; references to incest, rape and prostitution as acceptable; and more. I cannot begin to express the severity. “Borat” not only seeks to embrace these things, but to break all previous social levels of acceptability projecting them as humorous. And that is only the first 45 minutes or so of the film. This movie is not appropriate for adults let alone children..
    My Ratings: Extremely Offensive/Negative -DISGUSTING!!!!!!

I am not new to this blog but I have never posted before. So here goes. Rather than spending a lot of time on money on a sick disgusting movie like Borat…why not use that time to teach your children the true meaning of Christmas, and use the money to make the life of some needy family a bit easier.
    Teach!

    True Meaning of Christmas

Just a week before Christmas I had a visitor. This is how it happened. I just finished the household chores for the night and was preparing to go to bed, when I heard a noise in the front of the house. I opened the door to the front room and to my surprise, Santa himself stepped out next to the fireplace.

“What are you doing?” I started to ask. The words choked up in my throat and I saw he had tears in his eyes. His usual jolly manner was gone. Gone was the eager, boisterous soul we all know. He then answered me with a simple statement . . .

“TEACH THE CHILDREN!” I was puzzled. What did he mean? He anticipated my question and with one quick movement brought forth a miniature toy bag from behind the tree. As I stood bewildered, Santa said, “Teach the children!

Teach them the old meaning of Christmas. The meaning that now-a-days Christmas has forgotten. “Santa then reached in his bag and pulled out a FIR TREE and placed it before the mantle. “Teach the children that the pure green color of the stately fir tree remains green all year round, depicting the everlasting hope of mankind, all the needles point heavenward, making it a symbol of man’s thoughts turning toward heaven.”

He again reached into his bag and pulled out a brilliant STAR. “Teach the children that the star was the heavenly sign of promises long ago. God promised a Savior for the world, and the star was the sign of fulfillment of His promise.”

He then reached into his bag and pulled out a CANDLE. “Teach the children that the candle symbolizes that Christ is the light of the world, and when we see this great light we are reminded of He who displaces the darkness.”

Once again he reached into his bag and removed a WREATH and placed it on the tree. “Teach the children that the wreath symbolizes the real nature of love. Real love never ceases. Love is one continuous round of affection.”

He then pulled from his bag an ORNAMENT of himself. “Teach the children that I, Santa Claus, symbolize the generosity and good will we feel during the month of December.”

He then brought out a HOLLY LEAF. “Teach the children that the holly plant represents immortality. It represents the crown of thorns worn by our Savior. The red holly berries represent the blood shed by Him.

Next he pulled from his bag a GIFT and said, “Teach the children that God so loved the world that he gave his begotten son.” Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.

Santa then reached in his bag and pulled out a CANDY CANE and hung it on the tree. “Teach the children that the candy cane represents the shepherds’ crook. The crook on the staff helps to bring back strayed sheep to the flock. The candy cane is the symbol that we are our brother’s keeper.”

He reached in again and pulled out an ANGEL. “Teach the children that it was the angels that heralded in the glorious news of the Savior’s birth. The angels sang Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace and good will toward men.”

Suddenly I heard a soft twinkling sound, and from his bag he pulled out a BELL,. “Teach the children that as the lost sheep are found by the sound of the bell, it should ring mankind to the fold. The bell symbolizes guidance and return.

Santa looked back and was pleased. He looked back at me and I saw that the twinkle was back in his eyes. He said, “Remember, teach the children the true meaning of Christmas and do not put me in the center, for I am but a humble servant of the One that is, and I bow down to worship him, our LORD, our GOD.”

If you go to rottentomatoes.com, you can fnd the movie reviews from all the newspapers in the country. 96% of the movie critics in this country gave “Borat” a positive review.

Here’s a sample from a critic in Detroit.

    Vote for ‘Borat’

Glorious comedy moviefilm makes benefit for U, S and A audiences, very sexy, you like, high five

A s audacious, courageous, inventive and crazed as “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan” is, there’s something far more important about this movie.
It’s funny. Spit pop out your nose funny. Laugh out loud and miss some of the best parts funny. Choke on candy, tears coming down your face, nudge your buddy until his side hurts funny.

But wait, that’s not all. It’s also scary smart. Because underneath all that laughter hides the year’s most cutting critique of human miscommunication, American cultural isolation and Western elitism.

“Borat” packs all the intellectual punch of the standard pack of ultra-serious Oscar hopefuls. Plus it makes you laugh until your lungs hurt. And that’s why it’s one of the best movies of the year.

It is the brainchild of Sacha Baron Cohen, who plays the title character. Borat is a TV journalist from the Eastern European country of Kazakhstan, and after a brief introduction to his country and lifestyle, he comes to the United States to make a documentary about the American way of life in hopes of enlightening his countrymen.

His chief companions are his swarthy bulk of a producer (the amazing Ken Davitian) and a chicken that Borat keeps in an overnight bag.

Soon after arriving in America, Borat encounters the image of Pamela Anderson and falls in love. So he turns the documentary into a cross-country trek with plans to meet and marry her in Los Angeles.
OK, this sounds sort of fun and a bit dizzy, but here’s what lifts it up a few levels:

The movie is one big “Punk’d”/”Candid Camera” take on America’s reaction to Borat. Cohen and Davitian are the only actors; the rest are real folks who think they are actually participating in a documentary being made for the country of Kazakhstan.

And the reactions people have to Borat’s clueless, often tasteless and usually uncomfortable questions are as hilarious as they are revealing.

We see Borat learning humor from a humor coach, attending a genteel dinner in Southern society, addressing the crowd at a rodeo and calling for the blood of all Iraqis. He joins in at a high-powered fundamentalist revival; he downs shots with drunken frat boys traveling in an RV and gets lessons in dressing funky from some street kids.

Cohen never for a second breaks character, even when he’s breaking the law, which is fairly often. He’s rude, crude, silly, brash and utterly fearless.
True, some will think he goes too far. Borat the character is both racist and sexist, and Cohen stretches the boundaries of political incorrectness to the near-breaking point time and again.

If you are easily offended, this may not be your movie.

On the other hand, what many will find offensive, or at least alarming, is the true character of America that’s uncovered here. The frat boy rants, the cowboy prejudices, the evangelical promises — all ring true, and all are unnerving.

Still, the movie isn’t really as anti-American as it is anti-isolation. Cohen could probably have pulled off similar scenes of embarrassment in France, Turkey, Vietnam or Russia. But America is the dominant culture of our times, and he speaks English, so he goes for the natural target.

    And he nails it.

“Borat” may be the most important breakthrough in film comedy in decades, or it may be a forgotten footnote in a matter of months. But it is an undeniable work of genius.

    And oh, the laughter.

    “BIRDS OF A FEATHER…”

Future Chelsea Clinton Father-In-Law in Jail!

Ed Mezvinsky, a former Iowa Congressman, was sentenced in January 2003 to nearly seven years in jail after pleading guilty to 31 fraud-related counts.

After leaving Congress, Mezvinsky, now 65, moved to the Philadelphia suburbs with his wife Marjorie, a former TV reporter who won a seat in Congress herself.

The Mezvinskys were friends of Bill and Hillary Clinton and were frequent guests at White House state dinners

Prosecutors said Mezvinsky, an international business deals broker, used his Clinton connections to convince people to hand over more than $10 million. Among his investors were friends, clients and even his mother-in-law.

Finally some reason from the Right.

In an emotional speech on the Senate floor Thursday night, Sen Gordon Smith, a moderate Republican from Oregon who has been a supporter of the war in Iraq, said the U.S. military’s “tactics have failed” and he “cannot support that anymore.”

Smith said he is at, “the end of my rope when it comes to supporting a policy that has our soldiers patrolling the same streets in the same way, being blown up the same bombs, day after day.

“That is absurd,” he said. “It may even be criminal.”

Smith said he has tried to quietly support President Bush during the course of the war — and doesn’t believe the president intentionally lied to get the U.S. into the war — but now recognizes, “we have paid a price in blood and treasure that is beyond calculation” for a war waged due to bad intelligence.

Moved this week by the findings of the Iraq Study Group, Smith said he needed to “speak from my heart.

“I, for one, am tired of paying the price of 10 or more of our troops dying a day. So let’s cut and run or cut and walk, but let us fight the way on terror more intelligently that we have because we have fought this war in a very lamentable way,” he said.

JerryD: Senator Gordon Smith from Oregon is REPUBLICAN! Are you so blinded by anybody who doesn’t think that staying in Iraq indefinitely as to think they must be “some wacko lefty”, or are you just plain stupid?
The point here, of course, is to show exactly how badly the situation is in Iraq when even the moderate Republicans are calling for our withdrawl. As for preventing more nukes from being developed, how is North Korea doing?

    December 10, 2006 at 3:47 am

North Korea is doing just fine on those nukes using the tech. that the Clinton Administration gave them in order that they agreed not to use them as to further their WMD program. I believe that Maddie Albright brokered the deal, using superior intellect and trust with Kim Jong Ill. She was quoted as saying that he is really not crazy, quite pleasant, and loves American movies. She was even able to present him with a signed basketball from American basketball star Michael Jordan. How right you are Bob, those were the days! Clinton in office sexually harrassing the interns, and his cronies killing off Ron Browns and making friends with other helpers like China and North Korea.

Here is my hero. I love the part where she introduced legislation to keep 2PAC’s recording in the national archives. We are certainly better off with 2PAC dead and gone. He was nothing but a 2 bit gansta and gang member. Rest uneasy TUPAC and TUKIE WILLIAMS in HELL! 🙂

    By BEN EVANS
    Associated Press Writer

    WASHINGTON

In what was likely her final legislative act in Congress, outgoing Georgia Rep. Cynthia McKinney introduced a bill Friday to impeach President Bush.

The legislation has no chance of passing and serves as a symbolic parting shot not only at Bush but also at Democratic leaders. Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has made clear that she will not entertain proposals to sanction Bush and has warned the liberal wing of her party against making political hay of impeachment.

McKinney, a Democrat who drew national headlines in March when she struck a Capitol police officer, has long insisted that Bush was never legitimately elected. In introducing her legislation in the final hours of the current Congress, she said Bush had violated his oath of office to defend the Constitution and the nation’s laws.

In the bill, she accused Bush of misleading Congress on the war in Iraq and violating privacy laws with his domestic spying program.

McKinney has made no secret of her frustration with Democratic leaders since voters ousted her from office in the Democratic primary this summer. In a speech Monday at George Washington University, she accused party leaders of kowtowing to Republicans on the war in Iraq and on military mistreatment of prisoners.

McKinney, who has not discussed her future plans, has increasingly embraced her image as a controversial figure.

She has hosted numerous panels on Sept. 11 conspiracy theories and suggested that Bush had prior knowledge of the terrorist attacks but kept quiet about it to allow friends to profit from the aftermath. She introduced legislation to establish a permanent collection of rapper Tupac Shakur’s recordings at the National Archives and calling for a federal investigation into his killing.

But it was her scuffle with a Capitol police officer that drew the most attention. McKinney struck the officer when he tried to stop her from entering a congressional office building. The officer did not recognize McKinney, who was not wearing her member lapel pin.

A grand jury in Washington declined to indict McKinney over the clash, but she eventually apologized before the House.

Too bad that Karl Rove has taken out Borat from the theaters. There must be a hidden agenda by the neo cons here. We want our disgusting crap to be hailed and pass for humor. If you think it is funny Dave, from your description, I feel sorry for you that your conscience is so fried.

I am equally disturbed that the so-called “Pastor Doug” would associate himself with this film by potentially viewing it himself. Are not “Pastors” to lead by example? Romans 12:2 tells us that christians should not conform to the world. There is plenty more about corrupt communications too. Doug, you need to think about what you are encouraging. How about a public apology for thinking of going to the Borat movie huh Doug? Another thought is to drop the pastor title if you have no intention of being a good example by what you allow in your life.

Dave, could you censor Mikey Ray for calling someone a racist? I have never heard that type of hate from JerryD that I am aware of?

Have a happy day in the off topic blog.

Where have you been, New Tone? Jerry refered to Barak Obama as an oreo (black on the outside, white on the inside) and called him a spade (another racist remark) and then offered up the lamest John Kerry-esque explanation that I was wrong for calling him out on it and that oreos were “the most expensive cookie” which somehow has a connection to Obama’s wealth. Dave then provides cover for Jerry’s racism by trying to change the subject to Obama’s rise, as if that will legitimize Jerry’s racist remarks.

I’m not one of the left-wing kooks that are rife on this blog, but I don’t tolerate racist remarks no matterwho says them and Jerry’s remarks were racist and wrong, pure and simple.

SPEAKING OF CHRISTMAS…HERE IS A PERSONAL INVITATION TO ALL OF YOU FROM JESUS.

As you well know, we are getting
closer to my birthday. Every year there is a
celebration in my honor and I think that this year
the celebration will be repeated. During this time
there are many people shopping for gifts, there are
    many radio announcements, TV commercials,
and in every part of the worldeveryone is talking
that my birthday is getting closer and closer.

It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year,
some people think of me. As you know, the celebration
of my birthday began many years ago. At first people
seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did
for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the
reason for the celebration. Family and friends get
together and have a lot of fun, but they don’t know the
    meaning of the celebration.

I remember that last year there was a great feast in
my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods,
pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and chocolates.
The decorations were exquisite and there were many,
    many beautifully wrapped gifts. But,
do you want to know something?
I wasn’t invited. I was the guest of honor and
they didn’t remember to send me an invitation.

The party was for me, but when that great day came,
I was left outside, they closed the door in my face…
and I wanted to be with them and share their table.

In truth, that didn’t surprise me because in the
last few years all close their doors to me.

Since I was not invited, I decided to enter the party
without making any noise. I went in and stood in a corner.
They were all drinking; there were some who were
drunk and telling jokes and laughing at everything.
They were having a great time.
To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red
wearing a long white beard entered the
room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk.
He sat on the sofa and all the children ranto him,
    saying :
    “Santa Claus, Santa Claus”…
as if the party were in his honor!

    At 12 midnight all the people began to hug each other ;
I extended my arms waiting for some one to hug me
and …. do you know … no one hugged me.

Suddenly they all began to share gifts.
They opened them one by one with great expectation.

When all had been opened, I looked to see if,
maybe, there was one for me.

What would you feel if on your birthday everybody
shared gifts and you did not get one ?
I then understood that I was
unwanted at that party and quietly left.

    Every year it gets worse.
People only remember to eat and drink, the gifts,
the parties and nobody remembers me.
I would like this Christmas that you allow me
    to enter into your life.
I would like that you recognize the fact that almost
two thousand years ago I came to this world to give
my life for you, on the cross, to save you.
Today, I only want that you believe
    this with all your heart.

I want to share something with you.
As many didn’t invite me to their party,
I will have my own celebration,
a grandiose party that no one has ever imagined,
    a spectacular party.

I’m still making the final arrangements.
Today I am sending out many invitations
and there is an invitation for you.
I want to know if you wish to attend and
I will make a reservation for you
and write your name with golden
letters in my great guest book.

Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party.
Those who don’t answer the invitation,
    will be left outside.

I’ll be waiting for all of you to attend my party this year…
    See you soon…
    I love you !

    -Jesus-

    MOCK THIS…I DARE YOU!

JerryD: Nice cut’n paste. I won’t mock anybody’s religion but I will refuse to have someone else’s viewpoint on religion shoved down my throat. As to mocking you, that is a different matter, especially when your racism sticks its ugly head up. Like a lot of people I too have my prejudices, but I face up to what could become racist feelings and by doing so I do not allow myself to respond or even think as a racist does. Since you brought up the subject of Jesus, do you follow his teachings on how to relate to others who are different than you?

    Jerry,

That is so weak to call anybody an oreo! I apologize that I did not know that you did that. What is up with that dude! I vote we flush Jerry unless he can admit it was a mistake to make that type of remark.

What does that mean anyways? If you want to criticize a person, do it on the merits. To say that Barak is black on the outside and white on the outside is just over the top man! Barak should be looked at as a person. To say he is white or black or oriental has no basis. That is the crap that the sorry candidate Ben Cardin’s aid in Maryland called Michael Steele because he was a black running as a republican. To be fair, I am sure Mikey Ray would consider Cardin, a white, to be a racist for not taking responsibility for the remark. There were apparently photos of the staff eating oreos for lunch, and Cardin supporters throwing oreos at Mr. Steele. Sick, and Racist. Were you there Jerry? Do you think it is ok?

As far as the true meaning of Christmas….what is it. Have any of you any idea of the sick paganism that is behind X-Mas. I believe we should leave Christ out of Christmas because he has NEVER had anything to do with it in the first place. It is not mentioned in the bible that they celebrated Christ’s birth at all. It was not celebrated by Christians until a wicked pope in man’s religion, the roman catholic group, pronounced the pagan celebration to be xmas because they were losing too much money when the druids and others would not stop their ungodly celebrations. Today, it is a holiday loved by most americans and has nothing to do with God, Jesus, or anything but getting drunk and selling merchandise. What a joke, and how sad to try and put Christ in Christmas. Christ was never there, and you can’t put him there. He is not the reason for the season. No matter what Jerry mistakenly thinks.

BACK TO BORAT…HERE ARE SOME VERY COMMON REVIEWS OF THE MOVIE NOT PUBLISHED BY THE PERVERTED LEFT LEANING HOLLYWEIRD PIAD CIRITICS…

I attempted to see the movie Borat and was so offended that I could not stay. I believe we can have comedy without offense – to achieve that is the work of true genius.
There is something wrong with our human consciousness when we can laugh at a man who (1) lauds having sex with his sister, (2) boasts of having his mentally retarded brother housed in a cage, then escaping only to rape his sister, and (3) lasciviously fantasizes about the butt of a woman because it is like that of a 7-year-old. We need to check and see where our human consciousness went. Since when is incest, rape, pedophilia and abuse of the mentally retarded considered hilarious??

Save your money, this movie is one of the worst movies ive ever seen.
All that Borat does is try to offend people with his actions or what he says, hoping to get a reaction out of them. This premise gets very old after the first few scenarios he’s in. A different scenario, offend the people involved,
get a reaction out of them. It happens over and over and over again. Using peoples reactions at their own expense, embarrassing them in front of the movie audience is a horrible thing to do. Id give the movie zero stars if that was an option.

Not since Howard the Duck has a movie this poor played on movie screens. Borat is not funny and the humor is gutter talk for stupid people. To think that the makers are making millions of dollars off of such stupidty should offend movie goers. This goes beyond political correctness. This is a movie that attempts to make the worse in people seem humorous. Unfortunetly there is nothing funny about this movie in the least. It is full of vicious sterotyping and the makers are getting sued for getting some participants drunk to bring their artistry out. Anyone who thinks this movie is funny would need to be drunk or is simple minded. I can see why much of the world hates American movies. I have joined this growing majority and would tell anyone thinking of watching this to save their money as it is a real loser. I wish I could give this a negative rating as a 1star review is much higher than this stupid thing deserves. I want my money back.

A shamelessly crass but unquestionably funny fish-out-of-water comedy, “Borat” is guaranteed to offend someone during the hour and a half it takes to race by. Indeed, it seems designed to operate that way: The folks around me groaned as often as they giggled.

The professional movie critics seemed to love this movie. Even Paul Harvey seemed to chuckle about the film. So I assumed it would be funny. When it was over, I honestly felt as though someone had defecated on me and thrown slop on my head. What a total insulting and crude movie. Anyone who laughs at this type of comedy has real issues. It crossed the line of decency and if this is what movies and the crowd that pays top dollar to watch this crap has come to, then we are finished as a society. I am not trying to be melodramatic but this film is a complete stinker. The makers should be ashamed of themselves for producing such slop. I only wish I did walk out on it. I almost did—several times. I hoped it would get funny but instead it got raunchier and stupider. If you like prejudice, absurd punch lines, man on man nudity and and just plain ignorance, then this movie is for you. As for me this was nothing but CRAP!!!!!!!

The humour in this movie is so crass that any comedic intelligence it may have had, and the general intent to poke fun and adress controversial topics is lost in the vulgarity of the film.

What happenned to smart comedy? You dont need to be so vulgar to be funny and you most definetely dont need to be crude in order to address thought provoking issues in an innovative light hearted manner. For example, Charles Chaplin managed to create one of the funniest and more poignant political satires with class and without having to say a word (The Great Dictator 1940)!

I am aware Borat is marketed to the masses, but why not use Mr. Cohens media reach to educate its public while entertaining them? Instead, this movie seems to aim to make a certain public giggle while offending everyone else and does not have any real intent to create a lasting impact. It really is a shame that Mr. Cohen interesting political and social views are lost in movie that stands out for its vulgarity and which only accomplishment is to shock its audience.

This movie was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I knew this movie was going to be stupid, but I didn’t have the heart to tell my husband who wanted to see it. We walked out during the movie, and from what we saw, it was prejudice against Jews and women, vulgar, disgusting and full of profanity. If there was a rating of O I definitely would have chosen that instead of the number 1. Who was the idiot who put money into this movie? It should have never hit the theatres. I did not find the movie funny at all and would like the theatre to give us our money back. What a waste!

The worst movie I have ever seen, disgusting crass. An insult to my intelligence. Amazed that there were people in the theater that were laughing aloud. I guess it is a commentary on how low some peoples morals and taste have become. Most shocking was the couple who brought their 9 yr old, and stayed for the entire movie!! Unbelievable!!

My boyfriend took me to this movie because we both have a great sence of humour and LOVE the BOB TOM show who promoted it as being so funny! Well, we lasted about 45 min! It is the first time in my life I actually walked out of a theater! Especially after spending 20 on tickets and 10 on concessions! This MOVIE made me want too sneak out, as I did not even want strangers to know that I had actually been apart of it in anyway! I just wanted an antibacterial shower, for awhile!PULP FICTION WAS FUNNY! BORAT is an insult TOO THE INDUSTRY! A bad taste, in bad taste..spit yuckk PEEUUUKKKE!

They should have installed pockets in the back of the seat in front of you for the needed vomit bags. Or possibly nooses for those who had just had enough.

Five minutes into it his bad fake accent is grating your nerves. It is long and drawn out. His seemingly endless desire to appear without clothing is disgusting……….but the accent, the ACCENT………STOP it already. Oh and the movie……..not funny. I would like a refund please.

Disgusting movie, left early! Would not recommend anyone to go and see it!

This guy is absolutely pathetic! Taking advantage of unsuspecting people and being crass about cultures and ethnicity is downright stupid in todays world. He simply is NOT FUNNY!

I have a very broad sick and twisted, bottom of the barrel sense of humor. This so called attempt of a movie was absolute CRAP, NOT FUNNY, and a WASTE of TIME and MONEY. If the option for 0 stars was available, that would be too generous of a rating. Half an hour of Borat was more than enough. This was just some pathetic skinny dweeb, with his home video camera trying desparately to be funny by the use of shock humor, language and insults. The critics must be getting a chunk of the profits for promoting this film, because this was far from funny. Watching a bird crap on a car is funnier than anything Borat has to offer. Go see a real movie!!!!

Absolutely stupid. If you like toilet or farting kind of humor, you may like this one, otherwise, its a total waste of time.

Sorry, this system does not allow me to give a negative amount of stars…..
Everybody is talking about it…. Some people told me it was excellent, some people told me it was a plain crap. I wanted to get the possibility to judge myself.
I took an enforcement with me my wife and my adult son. We were supposed to have three opinions on the film. After the movie showing I went to the cinema theater manager and ask for money back. He was very polite and appreciate it. He gave me three re-admission passes and told me I am sorry you did not like it. I understand, it is perverted, I know, i have seen it twice myself…

I can sum Borat up in SIX words…LOVE THE POPCORN! HATED THE MOVIE!

I FOR ONE , WOULD NEVER BE PROUD THAT I FOUND THIS MOVIE FUNNY OR APPROPRIATE…AND IF I DID I WOULD NEVER PUBLISH IT PUBLICALLY! NEVER!

“I am always bemused by those who would fall into Jerry’s trap and try to argue with him, as if you think you could ever change his mind.

    Interesting . . . .”

Well Dave are you suggesting that folks just let Jerry make a few racist remarks here and there and ignore them, or make other outlandish claims, comments, statements, etc and let them slide?.

Why don’t you just come out and say that despite Jerry being a bigot and racist it’s ok. It’s all part of his shtick.

This is classic Jerry. I guess he admits he’s a racist but it’s ok because he believes everyone else is but he’s got the huevos to actually write it so that makes it ok.

“RICH…WAKE UP BUD! INTOLLERANCE OF RACIAL REMARKS ONLY FORCES THE RACE ISSUE EVEN DEEPER…
DEAL WITH IT! THIS IS A RADICALLY RACIST NATION, AND HAS BEEN FOR A VERY LONG TIME.
REMEBER…SUNSHINE IS THE BEST CURE. YOUR PERSONAL ATTACKS ONLY WARN OTHERS OF THE SAME TREATMENT IF THEY EXPRESS AN OPINION YOU DON’T “TOLLERATE”.
WHITE HATE THE BLACKS…THE BLACKS HATE THE JEWS…THE RICH HATE THE POOR…ILEAGAL ALIENS ARE HATED BY ALL…DEAL WITH IT.
OH…ONE OTHER THING…STOP TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO THE BLOGEGRS WHAT I MEANT.
I AM CRYSTAL CLEAR…THEY CANT READ IT FOR THEMSELVES.
    RAGE ON RAGER! “

Yeah, you’re crystal clear Jerry you are a racist.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO CALL SOMEONE A RACIST…YOU SHOULD REALLY KNOW WHAT RACISM MEANS…NOT JUST THE NEW POLITACALLY CORRECT BUT WRONG DEFINITION…
I DARE ALL YOU SELF RIGHTEOUS BLEEDING HEART NAME CALLERS TO READ THIS….

    What Is Racism?
The ‘racist’ double standard: how Whites are made to feel guilty and “hateful” for loving their own people and culture.

    by Thomas Jackson
There is surely no nation in the world that holds “racism” in greater horror than does the United States. Compared to other kinds of offenses, it is thought to be somehow more reprehensible. The press and public have become so used to tales of murder, rape, robbery, and arson, that any but the most spectacular crimes are shrugged off as part of the inevitable texture of American life. “Racism” is never shrugged off. For example, when a White Georgetown Law School student reported earlier this year that black students are not as qualified as White students, it set off a booming, national controversy about “racism.” If the student had merely murdered someone he would have attracted far less attention and criticism.
Racism is, indeed, the national obsession. Universities are on full alert for it, newspapers and politicians denounce it, churches preach against it, America is said to be racked with it, but just what is racism?
Dictionaries are not much help in understanding what is meant by the word. They usually define it as the belief that one’s own ethnic stock is superior to others, or as the belief that culture and behavior are rooted in race. When Americans speak of racism they mean a great deal more than this. Nevertheless, the dictionary definition of racism is a clue to understanding what Americans do mean. A peculiarly American meaning derives from the current dogma that all ethnic stocks are equal. Despite clear evidence to the contrary, all races have been declared to be equally talented and hard- working, and anyone who questions the dogma is thought to be not merely wrong but evil.
The dogma has logical consequences that are profoundly important. If blacks, for example, are equal to Whites in every way, what accounts for their poverty, criminality, and dissipation? Since any theory of racial differences has been outlawed, the only possible explanation for black failure is White racism. And since blacks are markedly poor, crime-prone, and dissipated, America must be racked with pervasive racism. Nothing else could be keeping them in such an abject state.
All public discourse on race today is locked into this rigid logic. Any explanation for black failure that does not depend on White wickedness threatens to veer off into the forbidden territory of racial differences. Thus, even if today’s Whites can find in their hearts no desire to oppress blacks, yesterday’s Whites must have oppressed them. If Whites do not consciously oppress blacks, they must oppress them Unconsciously. If no obviously racist individuals can be identified, then societal institutions must be racist. Or, since blacks are failing so terribly in America, there simply must be millions of White people we do not know about, who are working day and night to keep blacks in misery. The dogma of racial equality leaves no room for an explanation of black failure that is not, in some fashion, an indictment of White people.
The logical consequences of this are clear. Since we are required to believe that the only explanation for non-White failure is White racism, every time a non-White is poor, commits a crime, goes on welfare, or takes drugs, White society stands accused of yet another act of racism. All failure or misbehavior by non-Whites is standing proof that White society is riddled with hatred and bigotry. For precisely so long as non-Whites fail to succeed in life at exactly the same level as Whites, Whites will be, by definition, thwarting and oppressing them. This obligatory pattern of thinking leads to strange conclusions. First of all, racism is a sin that is thought to be committed almost exclusively by White people. Indeed, a black congressman from Chicago, Gus Savage, and Coleman Young, the black mayor of Detroit, have argued that only White people can be racist. Likewise, in 1987, the affirmative action officer of the State Insurance Fund of New York issued a company pamphlet in which she explained that all Whites are racist and that only Whites can be racist. How else could the plight of blacks be explained without flirting with the possibility of racial inequality?
Although some blacks and liberal Whites concede that non-Whites can, perhaps, be racist, they invariably add that non-Whites have been forced into it as self-defense because of centuries of White oppression. What appears to be non-White racism is so understandable and forgivable that it hardly deserves the name. Thus, whether or not an act is called racism depends on the race of the racist. What would surely be called racism when done by Whites is thought to be normal when done by anyone else. The reverse is also true.
Examples of this sort of double standard are so common, it is almost tedious to list them: When a White man kills a black man and uses the word “nigger” while doing so, there is an enormous media uproar and the nation beats its collective breast; when members of the black Yahweh cult carry out ritual murders of random Whites, the media are silent (see AR of March, 1991). College campuses forbid pejorative statements about non-Whites as “racist,” but ignore scurrilous attacks on Whites.
At election time, if 60 percent of the White voters vote for a White candidate, and 95 percent of the black voters vote for the black opponent, it is Whites who are accused of racial bias. There are 107 “historically black” colleges, whose fundamental blackness must be preserved in the name of diversity, but all historically White colleges must be forcibly integrated in the name of… the same thing. To resist would be racist.
“Black pride” is said to be a wonderful and worthy thing, but anything that could be construed as an expression of White pride is a form of hatred. It is perfectly natural for third-world immigrants to expect school instruction and driver’s tests in their own languages, whereas for native Americans to ask them to learn English is racist.
Blatant anti-White prejudice, in the form of affirmative action, is now the law of the land. Anything remotely like affirmative action, if practiced in favor of Whites, would be attacked as despicable favoritism.
All across the country, black, Hispanic, and Asian clubs and caucuses are thought to be fine expressions of ethnic solidarity, but any club or association expressly for Whites is by definition racist. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) campaigns openly for black advantage but is a respected “civil rights” organization. The National Association for the Advancement of White People (NAAWP) campaigns merely for equal treatment of all races, but is said to be viciously racist.
At a few college campuses, students opposed to affirmative action have set up student unions for Whites, analogous to those for blacks, Hispanics, etc, and have been roundly condemned as racists. Recently, when the White students at Lowell High School in San Francisco found themselves to be a minority, they asked for a racially exclusive club like the ones that non-Whites have. They were turned down in horror. Indeed, in America today, any club not specifically formed to be a White enclave but whose members simply happen all to be White is branded as racist.
Today, one of the favorite slogans that define the asymmetric quality of American racism is “celebration of diversity.” It has begun to dawn on a few people that “diversity” is always achieved at the expense of Whites (and sometimes men), and never the other way around. No one proposes that Howard University be made more diverse by admitting Whites, Hispanics, or Asians. No one ever suggests that National Hispanic University in San Jose (CA) would benefit from the diversity of having non-Hispanics on campus. No one suggests that the Black Congressional Caucus or the executive ranks of the NAACP or the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund suffer from a lack of diversity. Somehow, it is perfectly legitimate for them to celebrate homogeneity. And yet any all-White group – a company, a town, a school, a club, a neighborhood – is thought to suffer from a crippling lack of diversity that must be remedied as quickly as possible. Only when Whites have been reduced to a minority has “diversity” been achieved.
Let us put it bluntly: To “celebrate” or “embrace” diversity, as we are so often asked to do, is no different from deploring an excess of Whites. In fact, the entire nation is thought to suffer from an excess of Whites. Our current immigration policies are structured so that approximately 90 percent of our annual 800,000 legal immigrants are non-White. The several million illegal immigrants that enter the country every year are virtually all non-White. It would be racist not to be grateful for this laudable contribution to “diversity.” It is, of course, only White nations that are called upon to practice this kind of “diversity.” It is almost criminal to imagine a nation of any other race countenancing blatant dispossession of this kind.
What if the United States were pouring its poorest, least educated citizens across the border into Mexico? Could anyone be fooled into thinking that Mexico was being “culturally enriched?” What if the state of Chihuahua were losing its majority population to poor Whites who demanded that schools be taught in English, who insisted on celebrating the Fourth of July, who demanded the right to vote even if they weren’t citizens, who clamored for “affirmative action” in jobs and schooling?
Would Mexico – or any other non-White nation – tolerate this kind of cultural and demographic depredation? Of course not. Yet White Americans are supposed to look upon the flood of Hispanics and Asians entering their country as a priceless cultural gift. They are supposed to “celebrate” their own loss of influence, their own dwindling numbers, their own dispossession, for to do otherwise would be hopelessly racist.
There is another curious asymmetry about American racism. When non- Whites advance their own racial purposes, no one ever accuses them of “hating” another group. Blacks can join “civil rights” groups and Hispanics can be activists without fear of being branded as bigots and hate mongers. They can agitate openly for racial preferences that can come only at the expense of whites. They can demand preferential treatment of all kinds without anyone ever suggesting that they are “anti-white.”
Whites, on the other hand, need only express their opposition to affirmative action to be called haters. They need only subject racial policies that are clearly prejudicial to themselves to be called racists. Should they actually go so far as to say that they prefer the company of their own kind, that they wish to be left alone to enjoy the fruits of their European heritage, they are irredeemably wicked and hateful.
Here, then is the final, baffling inconsistency about American race relations. All non-whites are allowed to prefer the company of their own kind, to think of themselves as groups with interests distinct from those of the whole, and to work openly for group advantage. None of this is thought to be racist. At the same time, whites must also champion the racial interests of non-whites. They must sacrifice their own future on the altar of “diversity” and cooperate in their own dispossession. They are to encourage, even to subsidize, the displacement of a European people and culture by alien peoples and cultures. To put it in the simplest possible terms, White people are cheerfully to slaughter their own society, to commit racial and cultural suicide. To refuse to do so would be racism.
Of course, the entire non-white enterprise in the United States is perfectly natural and healthy. Nothing could be more natural than to love one’s people and to hope that it should flourish. Filipinos and El Salvadorans are doubtless astonished to discover that simply by setting foot in the United States they are entitled to affirmative action preferences over native-born whites, but can they be blamed for accepting them? Is it surprising that they should want their languages, their cultures, their brothers and sisters to take possession and put their mark indelibly on the land? If the once-great people of a once-great nation is bent upon self-destruction and is prepared to hand over land and power to whomever shows up and asks for it, why should Mexicans and Cambodians complain?
No, it is the White enterprise in the United States that is unnatural, unhealthy, and without historical precedent. Whites have let themselves be convinced that it is racist merely to object to dispossession, much less to work for their own interests. Never in the history of the world has a dominant people thrown open the gates to strangers, and poured out its wealth to aliens. Never before has a people been fooled into thinking that there was virtue or nobility in surrendering its heritage, and giving away to others its place in history. Of all the races in America, only whites have been tricked into thinking that a preference for one’s own kind is racism. Only whites are ever told that a love for their own people is somehow “hatred” of others. All healthy people prefer the company of their own kind, and it has nothing to do with hatred. All men love their families more than their neighbors, but this does not mean that they hate their neighbors. Whites who love their racial family need bear no ill will towards non-whites. They only wish to be left alone to participate in the unfolding of their racial and cultural destinies.
What whites in America are being asked to do is therefore utterly unnatural. They are being asked to devote themselves to the interests of other races and to ignore the interests of their own. This is like asking a man to forsake his own children and love the children of his neighbors, since to do otherwise would be “racist.”
What then, is “racism?” It is considerably more than any dictionary is likely to say. It is any opposition by whites to official policies of racial preference for non-whites. It is any preference by whites for their own people and culture. It is any resistance by whites to the idea of becoming a minority people. It is any unwillingness to be pushed aside. It is, in short, any of the normal aspirations of people-hood that have defined nations since the beginning of history – but only so long as the aspirations are those of whites.

rac·ism(ray-siz-em) n. 1. belief in the superiority of a particular race. 2. antagonism between people of different races. 3. the theory that human abilities are determined by race. rac´ist n.

JerryD: So which of these do you believe is the truth? Do you embrace any of these definitions as to how the world really is? Based on your ranting here and some of your comments on Dave’s show, I would bet that you feel justified in believing all three definitions as being true, to you, and that everyone else must feel the same way. Sad. As I mentioned on another thread, you are the classic Hatriot.

    BOB,
I BELIEVE IN “ONTOLOGICAL RACISM”. I KNOW THAT WILL GENERATE MORE QUESTIONS FOR SOME…BUT IT IS INDEED AN ANSWER IF YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THE TWO WORDS MEAN WHEN USED TOGETHER.
    CONFUSED? AS I THOUGHT.

    CONFUSED? AS I THOUGHT.

Well, yeah, Jerry, I am confused at what you’re getting at, so you will need to explain what you mean, please. Of course you may just be too smart for me with your clever word play, but in every dictionary I have consulted I could not find a definition of “ontological racism”. If you mean that racism is a trait that we are endowed with by our creator, are you using the Bible’s tacit approval of slavery as a means of perpetuating racism? Do you follow the legal definitions that our early political leaders used in relegating a black man as “three fifths of a person”? Or are you simply going to believe that anyone who isn’t white like you and me is somehow less of a human being? Do you think that “all men are created equal”? Do you think that all humans should have an equal chance to live without violence, without hunger, and have the opportunity to live a life where they can succeed, provide for themselves and live in peace? The evil that man does to man, woman and child has many faces, many justifications and fostering hate and intolerance through religious teachings, relying on fear of the unknown like different skin color, different languages, customs and beliefs all contribute to the reasons that many use to continue the injustice that racism feeds. If you have strong feelings about a particular race or nationality or followers of a distinct religious belief, face the fear that rises up in you and look inwards to understand what you are feeling. We humans are much more alike than we are different; the only distinction that is made is in our mind which influences our passion (heart) and we have the capacity to choose to be different than we have been programed to be. It is there just waiting for you to decide that you don’t want to be the person who yells racial slurs when you’re in your car by yourself and somebody cuts you off; it is there waiting for you to tell someone who tells that “off-color” joke that makes fun a race or nationality or religious belief that listening to a joke like that makes you uncomfortable. Speak up! Don’t tolerate intolerance; with yourself, your family or your friends. The sooner you stop someone from talking in a manner that you don’t approve of, the sooner more people will wake themselves and realize that they too can choose to be different than they have been. “Be the change in the world you would like to see” – Mahatma Gandhi
Jerry, it is up to you.
