Insights from a Soldier

A friend of mine has been in the military for 30 years. He asked me to post this on the blog. Apparently it’s been makiing the rounds in military circles and I share it with you now.

NO PUNCHES PULLED HERE

Jimmy Carter, you’re the father of the Islamic Nazi movement. You threw
the Shah under the bus, welcomed the Ayatollah home and then lacked the
spine to confront the terrorists when they took our embassy and our
people hostage. You’re the Runner-in-Chief

Bill Clinton, you played “ring around the Lewinsky” while the terrorists
were at war with us. You got us into a fight with them in Somalia, and
then you ran from it. Your weak-willed responses embolden the killers.
Each time you failed to respond adequately they grew bolder, until 9/11.

John Kerry, dishonesty is your most prominent attribute. You lied about
American Soldiers in Vietnam. Your military service, like your life, is
more fiction than fact. You’ve accused our Soldiers of terrorizing women
and children in Iraq. You called Iraq “the wrong war, wrong place, wrong
time”… the same words you used to describe Vietnam. You’re a fake. You
want to run from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers, just as you
did the Vietnamese. Iraq, like Vietnam, is another war that you were
for, before you were against it.

John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can’t win
militarily in Iraq. You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded
murder without proof. And you said we should re-deploy to Okinawa.
Okinawa, John? And the Democrats call you their military expert? Are
you sure you didn’t suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off
building your war hero resume? You’re a sad, pitiable, corrupt and
washed up politician. You’re not a Marine, sir. You wouldn’t amount
to a pimple on a real Marine’s ass. You’re a phony and a disgrace. Run away, John.

Dick Durbin, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis,
tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot who
murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned South
East Asia to the Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the
same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? See Dick
run.

Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster-sized pictures from Abu
Grhaib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted
you saying that Iraq’s torture chambers were open under new management.
Did you see the news this week Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrate
real torture for you again. If you truly supported our troops, you’d
show the world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the
annihilation of it. You supported legislation stripping support from the
South Vietnamese, which led to a communist victory there. You’re a
bloated fool bent on repeating the same historical blunder that turned
freedom-seeking people over to homicidal, genocidal maniacs. To
paraphrase John Murtha, all while sitting on your wide, gin-soaked
rear-end in Washington.

American news media, the New YorkTimes particularly. Each time you
publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence
gathering methods, you become one with the sub-human pieces of camel
dung that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You
can’t strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al
Qaeda destroy my country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al
Qaeda is. Think about that each time you face Mecca to admire your
Pulitzer.

Typical – not a single word about any of the current crop of draft dodgers/deferment seekers/chickenhawks.

Might does not equal right. Just because someone served doesn’t mean that the mission they served on was right, or that they are given a pass in sending others to their doom.

ASSHOLE? SO MUCH FOR DAVE’S NEW CIVILITY POLICY ON HIS BLOG. MR. ANONYMOUS SOUNDS LIKE ONE OF THOSE GUYS THAT “SUPPORTS THE TROOPS BUT NOT THE MISSION” AND THEN CALLS ONE OF THEM AN ASSHOLE FOR HAVING AN OPINION THEY DON’T LIKE. BY THE WAY, WE WON THE GULF WAR AND WE WON IRAQ UNTIL THE FREAKIN DEMOCRATS STARTED TALKING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE OUT OF VICTORY. I’M SURE YOU CAN HEAR ME ROLLING OVER IN THIS TOMB I’M IN.

if we the people can get the government to help the world instead if killing, the world would be better for all.No war = No bitter ex soldiers.peace to all.

Having no war would be wonderful. I applaud the idea of peace around the world. Wait, how long have we been working on that concept? How long have people been praying/wishing for world peace (or whirled peas)? Is this something new? Is it something we actually have control over? Have you ever been bullied? What do you do when someone comes after you? Move the country? Where are you willing to move to, if we come under attack? If you don’t defend yourself, you have to leave to get away from the bully.

Now, for Iraq. Whether or not Iraq had any connection to terrorism, despot rulers embolden terrorists and naysayers. When an evil person leads, you will never have peace. I submit that if you really want peace, you should encourage the replacement of evil rulers with peace loving rulers. How many countries would we have to convert? Not that many. I truly think that if you replace a dozen or so leaders, you will be able to find world peace on the horizon.

As long as we allow people to be in power that can abuse it, we will never have peace. If you truly want peace, you will support a period of agression to change the world. Time is not on our side. The longer you allow evil people to be in power, the more you encourage others.

While Hitler ruled, look how many other evil rulers came forth. When he was gone, we lost a lot of evil leaders. That is a pretty consistent concept. We allowed evil leadership in Viet Nam, and most of SE Asia tumbled. Does that show you a consistent record? Replace bad with good, get peace. Leave bad in place, get turmoil and war. If you love peace, let our military do their job. If they do it right, we won’t need them to do it for long.

btw, the only reason I am commenting anonymous is because I am not going to register. I am not hiding.

SO TYPICAL! ON SUCH AN IMPORTANT TOPIC MOST POSTS ARE ANONYMOUS. AND CONTRARY TO DAVE’S WISHES MANY ARE NEGATIVE ATTACKS…

THE SOULLESS LIBERAL DEFEATIST CAN’T STAND TRUTH! THEY WANT THEIR LIES INSERTED IN SOCIETY FOR THE PURPOSE OF ATTEMPTING TO WIN THE CULTURE WAR.

THIS POST IS PERHAPS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DAVE HAS EVER POSTED! I APPLAUD HIS COURAGE AND SENSE OF FAIRNESS. IF IT TAKES THE 30-YEAR FRIENDSHIP TO ESTABLISH ENOUGH CREDIBILITY TO POST THESE TRUTHS THEN I ALSO APPLAUD LONG AND MEANINGFUL FRIENDSHIPS.

I SUGGEST YOU ALL GO THROUGH AND RE-READ THIS POST 2 MORE TIMES. ONCE FOR YOUR HEAD AND THE SECOND FOR YOUR HEART. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE A SINGLE THREAD OF TRUTH WILL MAKE IT PAST YOUR POLITICALLY CORRECT BARRIERS AND EFFECT HOW YOU SEE AMERICA TODAY. THE AMERICA OF TRADITION, HONOR, TRUTH, AND YOU WILL BEGIN TO SEE THE WAR BEING WAGED BY THE SECULAR PROGRESSIVES AGAINST THIS HONORABLE AMERICA!

DAVE, JOB WELL DONE. WHATEVER YOUR REASON FOR THIS POST I AM GLAD YOU STOOD UP TO PRESENT A VIEW OF THE REAL HEROES OF THIS COUNTRY…THE MEN AND WOMEN OF OUR HONORABLE MILITARY AND HOW THEY SEE THE ATTACKS ON THEIR & OUR AMERICA!

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS WHO PUT THE MOST VALUABLE THING THEY HAVE TO OFFER EVERY DAY ON THE LINE FOR EACH OF US…EVEN THOSE THAT WANT TO TEAR DOWN WHAT THEY ARE WILLING TO DIE FOR.

If we won the Gulf War, why did we have to go back to Iraq for part 2?
