District II Supervisor Race

Attention is slowly starting to focus on June and the District II race to succeed retiring supervisor Shirley Bianchi. Three candidates have emerged: Judy Vick of Los Osos, Rodger Anderson of Morro Bay and Bruce Gibson of Cayucos. I suspect we’ll have a runoff race with the final victor being selected in November.

I have offered one-on-one interviews to all three candidates. Here’s the schedule, all in the 5:30 t 7 p.m. slot:

Tuesday, May 2: Judy Vick

Wednesday, May 3: Rodger Anderson

Thursday, May 4: Bruce Gibson

Obviously we hope you’ll tune in and call in.

If you’ve been listening this week, you know that a new organization has come into the picture with a clear agenda in terms of the election. Protect Our Property Rights (POPR)is the name of the group. Check out http://www.popr.org and see what you think. I guarantee you’ll be hearing a lot more of them, and from them, in the months to come.

I’m voting for Bruce Gibson. Why put Roger Anderson on the board and tilt everything so far to the right. Bianchi chose Gibson for the planning commission and that speaks volumes to me. There are too many new developments taking place. I want someone to represent me who will keep growth under control.

    VOTE GIBSON!

    Hey Dave,

How about interviews for the 4th District Supervisor race? The 4th District encompases Nipomo, which is the fastest growing area in the county. We’d love to hear the candidates explain and defend their political postions on your show!

    Regards,
