Beginning a New Week

Happy Monday Everyone — especially to those of you who, like Tom and me, have to work on this government holiday. I should have listened to my mother and gone to work in the public sector.

Thanks to Peter from Paso Robles who called in last week to comment on the great Rush Limbaugh No Women Guest Hosts mystery. According to Peter, Rush indeed had a woman — a judge no less — guest host for him once. It was on January 1, 1991. That’s the only one Peter can recall. Hey Rich in Paso Robles, did you ever get a response from the EIB Network on the email you were going to send Rush?

Today, for President’s Day, we’ll bring military historian Jack Greene back into the studio to tell the story of George Washington and the key year of 1776. Should be interesting. Tomorrow, conservative Larry Davis returns, holding forth on the issues of the day. Also, Lynn Diehl will join us to answer all your questions about the big Tour of California bike race that is invading our town Thursday and Friday.

Sometime this week we also need to talk about SLO parking meters working on Sundays under proposed changes. Can’t say I’m surprised.

Dave, I have sent Rush a couple of e-mails since I posted I would and no response yet. Just sent another one today. If I don’t get a rsponse this week I will try to ask him personally on open-line Friday.

Wasn’t able to get through this morning because I was on the J-O-B but I sent yet another e-mail. I will keep trying.
